Dragonfly
This is the 3rd of 3 cards for my January card class. It's Quick card stamp called Dragonfly. All cards this months uses discontinuing products that will be gone the end of this month. So, this is the last chance to find things you love but missed purchasing. Here is the link to all items that are still left in stock.
Now onto my card. The cardstock is Crystal Blue.
First I stamped the music stamp from the Universal Backgrounds on white cardstock using Crystal Blue Ink.
The strip going down the right side is Crystal Blue CS layered with a stripe from Surt's Up Paper Pack.
On a smaller piece of white CS to fit the stamp, I stamped the dragonfly using VersaMark Ink and white embossing powder. After heating the powder, I sponged over it with crystal and Lagoon inks.
The little swirl in the lower left corner is from The Best Thinks Stamp set. It was stamped with Lagoon ink and topped with the smallest flower from the Base and Bling Floral accents
The double swirl on the right side is from small flourishes..

Pinwheel - May SOTM
I hope all you mothers out there had a fabulous Mother's Day. Mine was wonderful. Nice quiet day. Scott and Tracy brought me some flowers for my garden, daughter Andrea had us down for dinner and hubby bought me a VitaMix blender since my NutriBullet bit the dust. Even got a call from #2 son!
Life is good!!!
Here is one of the three cards that my May hostess club is making. The prep of these cards was a little tricky since I'm only into the second week of my shoulder surgery and still don't have the use of my left arm. But, I'm right handed so all is well!!!
I used the May Stamp of the Month, Pinwheel, for this card. The sail of the boat is actually one of the pinwheels cut apart. The paper pack is called Surf's Up. The boat itself is a 1 1/4" circle punch cut in half from the CTMH's National Scrapbook Month, Dream Pop paper pack that is on special this month only. The paper I used is actually honey colored with a wood grain resist design on it. I sponged over the half circle with Honey Ink to give it a dimensional look. The Hemp Bakers Twine is from the Mini-Medley Wooden Accents collection.
